We are thrilled to announce that, thanks to your gracious support, Stolen Youth successfully raised over $575,000 from the Not On Our Watch luncheon. These critical funds enable us to leverage the latest research, cutting-edge technology and vast network of human service providers to interrupt the industry, identify victims, offer survivors escape routes, educate vulnerable communities, and bring traffickers to justice.
At the luncheon, we were reminded that when we stand together, we can and do make a difference. Seattle Fire Chief Harold Scoggins talked about the power of collaboration and how this fight will take all of us working together to make lasting change. SarahAnn Harris Hamilton shared her personal experience of exploitation, and the resiliency it took to break free of “the life.” Together, we possess the power to create lasting change; the impact of your support extends far beyond its immediate reach—it serves as an inspiration to others, igniting their passion to get involved and make a tangible difference.
However, our work is far from complete. Stolen Youth Board Member and Senior Deputy Prosecuting Attorney with the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Ben Gauen, shares more about the unsettling realities and unexpected partnerships in this video. Our coalition brings together the most dedicated and action-oriented partners in our community to attack the problem from all sides as we continue to expand and evolve our approach to prevent trafficking before it happens.
Even if you couldn’t attend the luncheon, your contribution is crucial to driving our mission forward. We are still trying to reach our fundraising goal, consider making a donation. You may also consider raising awareness among your network– staying involved in our community can foster powerful partnerships and expand the reach of our mission.
If you have any questions or would like to learn more about the impact of your contribution, please feel free to contact me directly. I would be delighted to provide details about specific projects and initiatives that require funding, or explore additional ways to deepen your involvement. You may also subscribe to our e-newsletter to ensure that you’re always in the loop about our latest developments and happenings.
We truly appreciate your commitment to our mission and the trust you have placed in us.
